This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Capture The King (published as Capture The King 3D on the App Store) (the "Game"), developed by Strafe Theory Software ("we", "us"; https://strafetheorysoftware.com), handles information when you play it on Android or iOS.
Summary
- The Game has no user accounts and does not ask for your name, email, phone number or address.
- Your game progress (levels, coins, boosters, settings) is saved only on your device.
- The Game shows ads from Google AdMob. It also uses Google Firebase to measure how the Game is used and to report crashes. These services collect some device information, described below.
- In the EU, UK and some US states, you are asked for your ad consent choice, and you can change it at any time from Settings → Privacy in the Game.
1. Information stored on your device
The Game saves your progress, in-game currency, boosters, tutorials seen and settings (sound, music, vibration) on your device. We do not receive this data. Deleting the Game deletes it.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Game shows banner, full-screen and optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- your device's advertising ID (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, where you allow it)
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- device type, operating system, language and app version
- ad interactions (ads shown, tapped or watched)
Depending on your choices and where you live, ads may be personalised (based on your interests) or non-personalised.
- EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: you are shown a consent message (Google's User Messaging Platform) before personalised ads are used. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy in the Game.
- United States (states with privacy laws): you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for ads from Settings → Privacy in the Game.
- iOS: the Game asks for your permission before accessing the IDFA (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalised using the IDFA.
- Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device's Google settings.

3. Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how players use the Game (for example which levels are completed and how long sessions last) and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports so we can fix bugs. These services may collect an app-instance identifier, device model, operating system, app version, crash traces and gameplay events. They do not receive your name or contact details.

4. In-app purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never receive your payment details. We only receive confirmation that a purchase succeeded so we can deliver the item.
5. Notifications
With your permission, the Game may send local reminder notifications (for example inviting you back to play). They are scheduled on your device. You can turn them off in the Game's settings or your device settings.
6. Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Game, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, or to withdraw consent. Because we do not hold personal information ourselves, most requests are handled through the Google services above. You can change your ad choices in Settings → Privacy. For anything else, contact us and we will help.
8. Data retention and security
Data on your device stays until you delete the Game. Data collected by Google AdMob and Firebase is kept according to Google's own retention policies. We rely on these providers' security measures to protect it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Game changes. The effective date above shows when it was last updated.
